News from Abroad

While Buzzsaw somtimes features stories that touch on international news and world cultures, it is a magazine that’s much more focused on covering stories that have a local, regional or national interest. American media generally places a greater emphasis on American events and news (and yes, unfortunately even on the latest celebrity gossip) and rarely informs us of the issues affecting people around the world. This blog will help fill that gap, at least slightly, by bringing to one place international news and events (both global and regional) in hopes of creating a less ethnocentric dialogue about what’s happening around us.

Because it’s impossible to cover the majority of global news, each blog entry will focus on a specific issue (e.g. poverty) and cover several stories from around the world based on that issue. So, instead of titles, or headlines, each blog entry will be identified only by it’s topic. Suggestions and comments are always welcomed.
