Arts, Farts & Bogart
Every month in Prose&Cons, Buzzsaw publishes at least one big, fat lie. Whether it’s in the form of a poem, an essay, a short story, or a play, it’s totally made up. Buzzsaw likes to think that art like this can give us a different outlet of perspective and help us think about ourselves, our surroundings and our lives in different ways. We like to talk about that.
So Andy Warhol was kind of annoying, but once he said: “Isn’t life a series of images that change as they repeat themselves?” Arts, Farts and Bogart will examine those images and our reaction(s) to those images. But we also like to laugh so we might talk about funny stuff like farting, too. Because isn’t it annoying when art is too serious? Oh and Bogart is where we live. So check back every week for musings on contemporary art, street art, those weird things where right before you go to bed you feel like you’re falling down stairs and the art those things inspire, cool short films, the gross stuff we find in the fridge in our Bogart office and any number of other arty things we find interesting.
By the way, Andy Warhol also said: “I had a lot of dates but I decided to stay home and dye my eyebrows.” We’ll be grappling with that, too.
