Upfront-er.
Kind-of-Weekly Posts by Adam Polaski
In the Upfront section, Buzzsaw dissects one broad theme each month, exploring its relevance throughout history, in modern society and tracking where any important shifts or changes have occurred. We’re a take-no-shit section dedicated to getting to the root of real social and political issues and committed to deconstructing the month’s theme from fresh, new, narrative perspectives. Upfront-er does all of that and more, except online, where articles are click-able and your attention span is shorter. Check back weekly to read what we forgot to cover about the previous month’s theme and revel in my wit and insight.

News From Abroad.
Bi-weekly posts by Julissa Treviño
While Buzzsaw somtimes features stories that touch on international news and world cultures, it is a magazine that’s much more focused on covering stories that have a local, regional or national interest. American media generally places a greater emphasis on American events and news (and yes, unfortunately even on the latest celebrity gossip) and rarely informs us of the issues affecting people around the world. This blog will help fill that gap, at least slightly, by bringing to one place international news and events (both global and regional) in hopes of creating a less ethnocentric dialogue about what’s happening around us.
New posts will be up every Tuesday and Friday. Suggestions and comments are always welcomed.
Foodie in Ithaca
Weekly posts by Jacquie Simone
Some people say that Ithaca has more restaurants per capita than any other city. To be honest, I don’t care whether this statement has been verified; all I know is that Ithaca has a plethora of funky cafes and unique restaurants. I’m on a mission to find the most sumptuous soups, the pizza with the most pizzazz, the loveliest lattes and much more. I’ll also be sharing some of my favorite recipes–perfect for the college student suffering from culinary confusion. My friends, your days of eating ramen and mac n’ cheese are over! So sit back, read on and dig in.
