The complexities of job security and free speech at Ithaca College

On Friday, students from the Cornell Organization for Labor Action worked to raise awareness, through petitioning and educating, about the TCAT workers’ fight for a fair contract.

Inaction is a form of action. You are either there with this movement or you are not there with this movement. The time is now to let yourself hope. We may well lose the battle, but if we win, you do not want to have to ask yourself, “Where was I when they needed me?”

When confronted with the hatred of a direct attack, some victims respond by desiring war or violence. Some respond by settling into a state of internal anger or despair. Others, however, take the opportunity to push for peace and take action to stop the hateful cycle.
